What stays on your device

Your saved resumes, application answers (including any EEO responses), learned custom-question answers, site passwords, application tracker, and chat history are stored locally in Chrome's extension storage on your device. They are never sold, shared, or uploaded for their own sake.

What is sent to our servers, and when

When you use an AI feature (chat, match scoring, resume tailoring, cover letters, interview prep, custom-question answering), the text needed for that feature — your message, the job posting's text, and/or relevant excerpts of your active resume — is sent to our backend (chatwillow.com, hosted on Vercel) and forwarded to AI inference providers solely to generate the response. We do not use this content for advertising and we do not sell it. To enforce fair daily usage limits, the backend records an estimate of processing time per account (or per hashed IP address for signed-out use). For LinkedIn Scan & Rank and résumé tailoring specifically, we also record a simple monthly usage count per account (how many times you've used each feature this calendar month) to enforce the free-tier cap — no résumé or job content is stored alongside that count.

Accounts (optional)

Alicia works without an account. If you sign in for a higher daily allowance, we collect your email address to send a one-time sign-in code (authentication is provided by Supabase). Your session tokens are stored locally in extension storage, and your subscription status (free or Pro) is stored in our database.

Payments

Alicia Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Stripe on Stripe's hosted checkout pages. The extension never sees or stores your card details. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status (not your card details) to know whether your account is on the free or Pro tier; Stripe keeps its own records of the payment and subscription independently of us, governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

What we don't do

No ads, no analytics trackers, no selling or sharing of personal data, and the extension never submits a job application on your behalf.

Your control

Sign out at any time from Tools → Account. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data, but does not by itself delete your account or server-side data — contact us at the email below to delete your account. Doing so removes your subscription status, usage counts, and Stripe customer link from our database. Cancelling your Alicia Pro subscription (via the billing portal at chatwillow.com, signed in with the same account, or by contacting us) stops future billing but does not delete your account by itself. Stripe retains its own records of payments and subscriptions per its own retention policy, independent of us.
